Default Mounting a RX on a heli

What's the best configuration for mounting a RX with one sattalite on a 700 Goblin? Usually I use 2 sats, but I guess the FBl controller I'm using doesn't work well with just sats. Right now I have the AR8000 up in the back where it would go, antenna facing towards the tail (but it will be covered by the canopy). The sat, I have down on the left side antennas facing up towards the blades and ground (out past the CF frame). Is that correct?

Probably. The only way to know for sure is to examine the Flightlog data while doing a thorough low power/range test in all orientations.

Yep, that was my plan. Don't really like this setup. I prefer sat's only but trying new stuff.

Is it a carbon canopy or fiberglass? If fiberglass, covering the antennae with the canopy will have no effect. I ran the same setup for a long time on my 700 Goblins. I mounted the AR8000 flat against the anti-rotation bracket for the swash with the antennae sticking out sideways over the left frame. My sat was mounted against the bottom of the right frame, in between the skids, with both antennas sticking out into "clean" air.

I fly WAY far out and never had issues with fade or signal loss.

You can see the sat in low right ride of the heli

Ya this canopy is fiberglass. I do have a KSE 700 but that one is using a VBar with 2 sats. This in my original 700, one of the first kits that came from SAB, so I rebuilt it and going to use it as a beater, with a BD 3SX on it with rescue. I never used a Demon, didn't know it doesn't play well with sats.

Thanks for the pictures, I do have mine similar to yours.
