Default which Trex 500.. ELF pro or ESP?

I think im selling my trex 450 pro to get a 500.

Which ever 500 i get it will end up been FLB. I can get the ESP at a good price 2nd hand but Id have to go for new if i wanted a 500 EFL pro.

They will be run on my Mini V bar.

Is there any point in spending the extra for the EFL? isn't it pritty much. or with a few part swaps be the same thing?

Also has anyone made the jump or own both a trex 450 and 500. how much worse is the crash cost of the 500? what size battery's is everyone running ?

I have bought and sold more helis than most would ever own... My trex 500 gf I had the longest, my ESP was also great... I now have a fb pro and love it, I can see aligns improvements in the different ones... Id say if u got the money get a pro

Crash cost will be more but it's not a huge jump like to a 550 would be

Btw I sold a 6s fbl 450 pro v2 for my 500 pro and I'm soooo glad I did

I own a 450 and Tarot 500ESP with a tourque tube. I'm running 6S batteries: a Turnigy 3000 and 2 Turnigy Nanotech 2650 45-70C

The 500 crash is 30-50% more expensive. Depends on what you break.

Is it possible to install a standard size tail servo in the 500 Pro?

Or get the 600 tail mount, that's what I did.

I found a cheap 500e which is just an esp with 500mx and 70aesc. have basically been turning it into a pro slowly(metal tail, TT, mg servos, pro grips), but that works for me because i wanted the dfc head and beastx anyway. moved up from 450 pro which i also still love and fly the poop out of. Both are great but if I had to choose i would probably pick the 500, especially if its windy. so far damage costs have been not too much different, maybe %25 more on average, but i havent hit hard yet. fly zippy 6s 2650 30c and pulse 2600 45c, both are good, zippys are a whole lot cheaper.

500 pro tail servo mounts between the frames... don't think the 600 mount will work on the pro, but that's what I have on my ESP.

Sorry, haven't looked back sense I got my ESP. More into my t-600 nitro these days.

So they didn't put the servo on the tail? Guess I need to get up to date with the 500 again.

Is it better where they now have it, and if so why?

Thanks,

Craig

Nope on the EFL it needs to be dremeled....
My HC500 has the same set up.. guess if its in the frames it stands a better chance of survival?? Ya know.. with a boom being one of the most decapitated parts in a crash...

Oh, and I fly 5S.. slightly cheaper batteries..
