Default 250 Pro DFC combo announced

It is the Pro with a DFC head and the new 415/425 servos.

Torque tube tail drive.

It does NOT include the 3GX though.

Expect to start seeing it around the end of June.

http://*********.com/align-trex-250-...bos-announced/

Looks like you can get it with a 3gx. Maybe they will offer 2 kits.

Link didn't work. I looked again and it does seem there are 2 kits. One without a 3gx and one with. Plus a new motor

So now I'm confused or just missing something completely....They announced that they were going to be coming out with these kits back on April 1st throough the RC MAnia web site. I also just checked the Align site and there is no official announcement on anything yet that I can find. So what has been announced that we already didn't know was coming (i.e. - kit with DFC head and TT tail)? They are also working on developing the 450 PRO DFC and a 700 PRO DFC as well. The big question is when is the official announcement going to happen on all of these? When this goes on the official Align web site then things are very close to shipping....

The link is heli daily.com... they must not play nicely with HeliFreak for whatever reason

We knew those parts were in the works, but we didn't know when a new combo was coming. To be fair though, Align has had a lot of things 'in the works' but haven't materialized yet... like the 'soon to be released' bluetooth adapter for the 3GX. That's been a year now without a product announcement, just a mention in the 3GX product page.

Personally, I don't see them changing the other kit's this year... or at least before the fall, every other heli in their linup has had overhauls in the last year give or take. I know with today's 'just in time' supply chains there aren't too many kits sitting between the dock and the reseller. But to re-release a kit a year or less after the last one would be a bad move IMHO. Any reseller that still has the 'old' one on the shelf will have a harder time moving it, anyone that bought a 'new' kit that was only released 6 months ago is going to be pissed that they now have to go out and spend another $100 on the new parts to get it 'current'

It's not like we don't already run out and get the parts on release day anyway...

Well, well! And I just decided to give up on the Blade 300X after HH's announcement on shipping delays. Now I wonder which one will come out first?

JoeW, That's a good find

The "pro" itself doesn't interest me over my SE (particularly after reading your Pro review). I've just swapped to DFC

However the TT tail is certainly worth watching

and did you notice the new DFC swash, the inner balls are at 90' to the standard design, I've often thought that it should be like that
I wonder how the arm lengths compare to the standard swash?

Servo arm lengths are about 0.5mm shorter... And good catch on the swash, they have the 600 and 700 versions of that on their website already, guess that's coming for all DFC now!

And the new style tail pitch slider!

Dang - I missed that - always the bridesmaid never the groom (or something like that!)
Now that is interesting
It still looks like a relatively short bellcrank based on where the pushrod points to - I would have liked to have seen that link arm extended so we could run a normal length servo arm

I just got the 600 and 700 DFC swashplates in the mail today...They look very nice and hopefully will work better with the BeastX since we now have 2 ball mounting locations.....

How did you get the swash plates so soon? I though they just got released like 2 days ago.

By the way, I was told the new 250 is arriving in 2 weeks or less. Can't wait. This is the perfect size for traveling.

Let's just say that I know some people.......It was just a little care package to do some testing with.....Pretty nice looking stuff (see pic).

I wouldn't count your chikens on the 2 weeks thing on the 250 since I think we will see the 450 PRO DFC first. I could be wrong though....

Talk to you soon....

Those new DFC swashplates look pretty sweet. Does anyone know if they provide any mechanical advantage? I only ask because if there is some advantage to running one, i may convert my swash when i convert my head to DFC someday. If its just for looks, ill keep running regular swashes with the DFC head until the time comes to buy a new one.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. Please excuse spelling and/or grammar issues. My thumbs are huge from all this RC flying.

My LHS says any Align part typically ships 4-6 weeks after it's officially announced.

Unusual for so much advancement to filter down so quickly to the 250.

DFC head
TT tail
DFC swash
Dual link tail pitch control
MX motor

www.wattsuprc.com.au have the 250Pro DFC Super Combo (with the 3gx) listed for pre-order at only $415 good price IMHO

That is a good price!

I was figuring it would be closer to $500, if not more...

This heli is in direct response to the Blade 300X. And I'll bet it's released sooner!
