Yes. I keep track of lipo cycles and heli flights. For lipos it's more out of curiosity to see how long they will last.. my charger shows the IR's so that is the best indicator of 'health'.. I find it more useful tracking heli flights.. for maintenance (lubing, belts, etc)

No, once the IR increases too much they are disposed of. I don't think I want to know.

Yeah, helps track my flights and the health of the packs.

It lets me do a half-decent comparison between different pack manufacturers too (Glacier, Pulse, Turnigy Nanotech, all seem to degrade at different rates)

This only applies to flight packs for my helis. Anything smaller than 3000mah or less than 6S does not get monitored.

Only using an iCharger or FMA charger or other that takes IR readings. Not worth buying a stand alone IR meter as they cost nearly as much as a charger that does this.

I dun really bother but I knew folks who mark on the batteries after each flight. Vcontrols allows selection of batt packs and logs them at each flight.

Sure,
our LiPos are labelled with a fine grid where we put a mark on each time a charging cycle is done.

There are several iPhone apps that keep track of individual LiPo data as well as other flight information. These are the ones I've tried:

1) RCLogbook
2) rcFlightbook
3) RC Flight Log

Each one has its own pros and cons. Due to incomplete data capture and/or "bugs" in the software, I no longer bother with those iPhone apps. I write down flight data (flight time, heli in which LiPo was used, etc.) on an index card at the field and charge data at home, and then transfer the data to Excel spread sheets.

It is my understanding that there apps for Android phones that are generally considered better than the iPhone app options, but I have no experience with them.

T3CHDAD is a good app for logging flights and battery cycles.

Yes. The T3chDad RC Flight Log is an adequate app. You can log all your flights and it keeps track of each individual LiPo cycles. It even keeps track of pilot logs. However it is very basic. For each individual helicopter, it only keeps track of number of flights, total flight time, and last flown date. You can write notes in free form, but the app does not have a way to easily keep track of other parameters like maintenance schedule or how many flights flown with different electronics.

For LiPos, it only keeps track of cycles, when last used, and current state of charge. It does not keep track of IR, voltages, or total air time.

The program is great if you only have basic needs, but it does not keep track of more advanced data.

I tried the apps, I tried writing. Always forget to log data. Just charge/fly/ lather Rinse Repeat!
Like others, when IR or the performance gets to bad, I'll toss em. Like right now, I have one 3 year old 3300 6s that is getting old. IR isnt that bad, not puffing, but the voltage sags faster in flight and she isnt lasting as long. I keep flying her, but my warmup/slow headspeed pack.

I do number and write the date purchased on every pack tho with a sharpie. So I know which ones are getting old

I use "RC-Battery Flight Log" on my smartphone:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/d....battery&hl=en

Use my Revolectrix Dual PowerLab 8x2 and my Wayne Giles ESR meter to measure IR.

I track the charge date and if not charging in parallel i'll track the mah put back in.

This also helps me track flights per model.
