Default Sullivan dynatron start shaft

Hey all,

I have had a sullivan dynatron and Sullivan start shaft for a while. The shafts don't last very long and the metal seems pretty soft.. Does anyone know of a good start shaft that bolts on nicely to the dynatron. I purchased a ksj (I think) several months ago but it doesn't fit snugly on the Sullivan.

Thanks in advance

Z

Sullivan is aware of the problem with start shafts, They have a new one that is hardened
for longer wear etc... Send your old one back to Sullivan, they should cover it under warranty.
The new ones are not chrome plated any longer, but a dark grey color due to heat treat
process etc..

Best Regards,

This is the one I have used for years...

and if you can just replace the shaft on the Sullivan (as you can on the one above) then you probably can replace it with the one from the 0427 above as it is available seperately.

I've been buying metric allen wrenches, cutting to length and pressing them in. U can heat treat the end..but allen wrenches seem to last forever..I also cut the round end off of the wrench..The round end screws up the starter hex drive on the clutch
