Default Question on carbon fiber frame brace

Just have a question about the brace on frame sides that goes from bearing block to motor mount, mine cracked from a crash I had, should I jerry rig something or do without them? Thanks in advance.

I tend to be really OCD about these kind of things.
Maybe my experience in aviation plays into it as well but at any rate I would definitely replace it even if it meant getting a piece of CF and fabricating one myself.
The way I see it the brace is there for a reason and I'd rather have it there than not. It could save a frame break.

Just my two cents...

Thanks for reply, sure wish there was a after market solution, good old blade wants you to buy frames to get them, 85 plus for a dollar part.

Those things suck. I luckily had an old frame that had been broken and used parts to replace those little worthless pieces. I'll see if I can find the pictures.

Default Frame Stiffners

I tried to upload the pictures but it wont let me as I already posted them in another thread.
https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=740247

The frame from which I made these 2 stiffeners was broken at the forward servo location so I used the area of the frame that was for the aft servo locations and adapted them to fit. I was tired of buying frames as I crashed this 3 times and broke the frame in the same spot each time. This is such a weak point and those little stock stiffeners are crap. I had one break after a maintenance retighten of all of the screws because it is slotted to allow adjustment of the motor.

I had an idea come to me on the brace that cracked on mine, since the break was right where it attaches to the motor mount I 180 the brace and attached the outside hole to motor mount and on other end I re drilled a hole to mount to bearing block, so now I just have 2 holes mounted instead of 3, to me there's no need for 3 since on bearing block it's all one piece behind cf frame. I'll post a picture also tomorrow.
