Default Evolution Setup Tools

Are the Evolution setup tools important to get or are there better cheaper options than the $62 swatch plate gauge and digital pitch gauge kit?

rdlohr swash tool and RC Logger pitch gauge is all I ever use. However, I do hear good things about the Soko heli tool. I just never had the desire to spend that much to try the thing out.

Or use whatever pitch gauge you have. Look up the soko heli tool videos and just replace the sokowith your gauge. Done.

I don't have any pitch gauges or swash tools. That's why I'm asking, to try and figure out what I need to buy for setup tools.

My advice would then be just get a regular run of the mill digital pitch gauge. Align or RC logger can be around $20. Watch the soko heli tool videos and you are good to go.

Since the ALeeS, I still can't call it Evolution, has a head button, I always removed it to install an old Align pitch gauge bar. Then used my manual Eflite pitch gauge. No need to level the heli that way. Not sure you can even get the Align pitch gauge bar anymore though.

What swashplate leveler will work with the Rush? I had to modify an Align one and it still only barely touches the swashplate.

You can get an identical one made by Tarot:

ALZRC has one too with nicer colors but those have become harder to find now.

The 12mm RD Lohr Zip tool is fabulous. I really like being able to level a swash without pulling the head . http://www.rdlohr.com/

I meant the align thing that screws to the head. Then you slide in a piece of flybar to sight zero degrees.

Yup, they're a fantastic tool, a must have IMO!

And for your initial build, so is this one:

Good luck finding one!

I know basically no other swashplate leveler will fit because the Rush swashplate is smaller than most other 700's

That's right, this one was built by Charley for the small swash.

Yes I only got a hand full of the Rotor Workz swash levels when the Rush was first out and being dist by Ready Heli, I sold them all to my customers and never kept on for myself (feel bad crashcopter!) . I like the zip tools so much I never really use anything else anymore.
