Congrats on the turbine ownership
Have you checked to make sure the controller battery is up ... as the data terminal is powered by the same ... and if the battery was really low it would power it for a little and then shut down as the battery fell below volts . Is this a new turbine or a used as I am assuming that it is used ?? If it is new ... their might be something wrong with the data terminal as they usually never fail that way ,, and it would be under warranty pretty sure . Maybe Chris will see this and chime in .

+1, check the battery. Also verify that you have the data terminal plugged into the right place and in the right orientation.

Yeah Talked to Wren USA, best to just get another one so I ordered a mini one that i can just leave on the Heli. Has a HC3SX on it and Outrage HV servos it is presently running A123, I know the servos can handle it ,but would it be better to go 7.4V, i assume there will be no ill effect running this way other than fast servo's. Also about the "Hood" for the FLB controller do you use them? the web says for scale full fuselage!!

I don't use the foam acoustic hood on the 3SX in my 44 and it's an older model with the older sensors that are susceptible to acoustic interaction. Since the 44 keeps the turbine out back in the open I've never noticed any abnormal flight behavior. If it was a scale heli where the turbine and FBL controller were both inside of a canopy/fuselage which would put far more acoustic load on the FBL controller I'd certainly use the hood.
Also, the more recent revision BD systems use different sensors that do not need the acoustic hood. As far as RX packs, I'm running straight 2S lipo on my 44 to the 3SX and servos. I figured the less connections and components the less chance of a failure-- so I chose direct 2S lipo with no regulator or anything like that. Since the 44 is a little tail heavy anyways you can run rather substantial packs up front to balance things out, I'm using 2S 3900 packs for both the FADEC and RX batteries. Balances things out nicely and you can get about 8 flights before needing to recharge the packs.

I think this is the way I will be going, I will need to make or obtain a new power cord for the RX. I mounted the mini data controller to the helicopter and it is very convenient, did your Rx packs come with deans or are you running JST plug (JR) I’m trying to find a Deans JST plug type.I have a S-bus system for the rec.
