Default All The Rage

Here is my latest works with the Outrage 550.

This Heli fly's light and is predictable and forgiving. As I learn its Character I find myself pressing new maneuvers outside my experience bubble and Its a real rush.

Enjoy the vid

Default Capi's Visual Rage

This latest vid was taken at the Flying Dutchmen Fun Fly in Kitchener, Ontario on July 25, 2009.

Good times were had by all, and Capi tore up the sky with the Outrage 550 with an impressive visual display.

Here is a short vid of the Outrage 550,

On November 10, 2009, I had some time and got to practice some inverted hovering with the Outrage 550. In the vid I make 3 attempts at close to the turf inverts. The last segment one was taken at ground level.

Another happy landing and a wipe of the brow signaled a good days flying.

Well I'm starting to open up a bit with this heli. Running a low headspeed (1700-1800 rpm) as I get used to the controls. Even at that low headspeed this bird is a lot of fun!!

Nice flight fishboy! Bump it up to 2200... it STILL doesn't sound that intimidating and will probably feel great!

Thanks Pete! I plan to switch from a 12T to a 13T pinion before my next flight. After that, up to 14T, which will get me 2200 rpm. Should be sweet!!

I would stick to 11T at 100% flat IMO.. that will get you nearly 2400rpm.

When I had the 12T on at 95% I was getting too much HS.. around 2500rpm.

Well I'm using the Scorpion 4020-1100. I assume your motor has a significantly higher kV.

I'm on 6s. I'm basing my calculations on this http://dhrc.rchomepage.com/calc.htm.

Today I looked at some of the data from my Ice 100 and I think it is dramatically overestimating the headspeed. I will need to confirm this with my Eagle Tree logger. Unfortunately this will take a while because I crashed today and need lots of parts .

Dang how did you crash? You fly with such excellent control. I crashed last week.. it's a breeze to fix!

My latest video... not very impressive... still waiting for all my winter sim time to kick in.. ... governed at 2200 RPM with ICE100 and 12T with the Neu motor.
