Default Do you need ALU pitch lever

I know Blade recommends the Aluminum Pitch lever, I had one, But this morning why messing with my tail linkage, the dam thing just broke. I have a plastic one that I installed and it seems to work fine, even test hovered. soooo? Is it a ticking time bomb waiting to fail? or should I jus fly it like I stole it? Any one know why Blade says you need the aluminum lever vs plastic?

I assume you're referring to the recommendation for use with the metal tail case. I actually prefer the plastic pitch lever and plastic slider with the metal case. I've been running for 100+ flights without issue.

Plastic lever AND slider is fine on alum case but I would not mix a plastic lever with an alum slider. The spacing is different between the pins that go in to the groove on the slider bearing. The bearing groove dimensions are slightly different also but as long as you keep the lever and slider matched, either plastic or alum you should be fine.

I've had the best luck with an aluminum tail case, plastic pitch lever, and also a plastic slider.
I don't recommend the aluminum slider at all.
