Default Connecting OptiPower backup to USB port
I think I read somewhere that is fine to connect the battery to the USB port. Can you please confirm. I don't want to burn a 500$ FBL

Yes, you can use the USB port for input power

Actually there's only one port which shouldn't be used as input power and it's the Output 2 (signal only!).
