Default Trex 500 3GX and Spektrum 7700

Hi Guys

I have purchased a Trex 500 3GX and have Spektrum DX9 and Spektrum AR 7700 reciever, the 3GX didn't come with the dongle which I have ordered but I have no idea how to wire the 3GX with the spektrum AR7700 reciever, I don't want to destroy anything.

Hi Troy,

The 3GX/7700 instructions should have pics or drawings of the connections and there are videos like this one, although it's for a standard receiver set-up...
3GX Version 3 - Connecting a Standard Receiver. Binding and Testing Fail Safe (3 min 20 sec)

...and I think the 7700 is designed for multi-rotor, so not sure what the connection looks like with a heli. A satellite (use two with a 500) would probably be the easiest way to go.

If you have specific questions after going through the instructions and checking videos, the 3gx forum is the best place to go.

If you want to make your flying experience better and less confusing, Get rid of the 3GX and receiver and buy a beastx or Ikon. Both can be bought cheap and the AR7200BX has a receiver built into it and the Ikon will allow you to use satellite receivers.

Strongly seconded Solmanbandit - that 3GX should be replaced, & since you have a Spektrum Dx9, the BeastX is a 2-in-1 FBL unit and radio receiver (convenient).

AR7200 Beast-Xs (-NOT THE MICROBEAST-) can be found here:
https://www.helifreak.com/forumdisplay.php?f=51 for usually $75 - $85.

Ikon is better, but you will be paying some for improvements you may not notice at this stage.

In fact I just replaced my AR 7200bx for the ikon 2 so I don't need it any more. I can do $70 shipped. Just basically want to get rid of it and it can help you out.
