Default Head Assembly Problems ?

Hi Guys

I am rebuilding a Predator Carbon Gasser SE with the HD head, same as on the
Radikal G30 V2 and Radikal Condor.

When I torque down the feathering shaft bolts everything would bind up! I took the head apart 3 time to make sure it was like in the manual and it was, the only way for the head to work right was by removing the 2 thrust bearing shims ( M13x16x1) part number (HW6182).
After I did that the head works perfectly

Anybody else have this problem ?

Thanks mcfast

Just to clarify, what head exactly are you talking about? The Predator HD head is a very different head from that on the Radikal G-30V2 or the Condor. One obvious difference is that the HD Predator head has GRP plastic grips with a 17mm blade root spacing while the G30V2 grips and head is fully metal?

This is a bran new head, just like the one on the Radikal G-30V2 and the Condor.
Fully CNC alum. I think the part # is CN2510

OK, then check the thrust bearings to insure that they each come with one plate with a larger ID and then the other. The plate with the larger ID is placed inboard and the one with the smaller ID is placed outboard, to ride against the retaining bolt washer.

That's is what I did, that's why I cant figure out why I had to remove the shim, I have rebuilt at least 50 head or so and this is only the second time this happen !?

It works good this way (with out shims) I going to try it like that.

Thanks mcfast
