Default De-casing a CX3X1000
I'm building a 250 beater and using a 3X1000. In the spirit of keeping weight down I'd like to use the CX unit sans alum case (14g). Anyone done this? I plan to use thick foam tape for mounting, since It will no longer have the heavy damping case. Thoughts??
