I won an icon at a fun fly in August. I just bought a Dominator so I think I will give it a try.
I have Skookum on everything else right now and have had them since the original Beta release. This should be a good experiment.
(Although I imagine I will be ordering another 720 BE soon )

I have 3 720's on a 500 and my two 450s, and they all work great, and took a minimum of work to set up. I can't imagine anything with a better tail gyro than the Skookum, if there is anything better, it can't be better by much. I also have an Ikon I bought for the simple reason that I couldn't mount a 720 on the heli I was building so I could easily access all the ports. The bluetooth on the Ikon solved the problem. That said, the Ikon works, and works well, but not as well as my 720's. The tail is taking some work to get just right, and I haven't hardly touched the self level yet, though I'm sure it'll all be fine eventually.
Also, there are a couple of points in the Ikon's setup software that had me scratching my head a bit trying to figure it out, whereas on the Skookum's setup wizard, everything is explained step by step, so it's hard to mess anything up if you go through the wizards step by step and in sequence.

My thoughts overall? Ikon and Skookum are both good controllers. In my opinion, the Skookum system is just better thought out in a number of ways, and just plain works better with a good deal less fuss.
