Carbon Canopies

I asked this on the Goblin thread but didn't get any responses, probably should have posted it here. I'm trying to get a brighter color carbon fiber canopy. I recently bought a Gob 700 Kyle Stacy, it comes with a CF canopy and I like it much better than the FG canopies, except for the paint. The canopy seems to go onto the heli easier and very light weight, but it's hard to see in the air. All the canopies made by canamod are all dark compared to the FG ones. Is it harder to get paint on this material?

I'm just wondering if I need to give up and buy a fiber glass one. I asked insane canopy, but they just replied they don't make them in carbon. Why? Is it so hard to work with? In my opinion the CF ones are worth the extra cash.

I painted a CF tail boom on a Mostro and it was no problem. I had to repair a break in the boom, then sanded it down, put a primer on it and painted it black. I haven't had any problem, but I am fairly new to painting and might not know something. I used Wicked water based acrylic paint and a clear coat on top. So far it's been great.
