battery life

I've had my x5 up and running about 2 weeks now , it used to be flybarred and the bloke I bought it from gave me 2 pairs of fb blades just so I could get it flying, don't really notice any difference with my x4ii , apart from it auto's so much better.
i'm using pulse 4100 mah batteries for my x5 and have been slowly upping my timer so that I get nearer to my 80% discharge , so far i'm at 6 minutes and i'm just about putting 3000 mah back in . is this normal? i'm not overly aggressive but I have been playing with trying to move piro flips around and 4 point tik toks all of which use more mah than just flying around .
have to say that I really like the x5 especially that the batteries come down warm , I used the same batteries in my E5 (6s also) and they came down hot .

yeah, I use a 4000 pack, and could get 6 min fairly easily before I started flying harder.
