dx6i basic settings for mini titan
I am in the middle of my first mini titan build and it is as follows
ds285 on the cyclic inolab 201 hb on the tail w/ jr g500t gyro metal servo holders Can some one please give me the basic setup/parameters(for a beginner) for a dx6i and I will adjust from there as I know that settings will vary per each pilot's flying style All feedback is greatly appreciated Thanks, Brandon Last edited by cyclist01; 05-30-2009 at 09:31 PM.. Brandon, your best bet is to watch the Finless Bob setup videos and do everything from scratch. Sharing transmitter settings rarely works, and usually ends up being more trouble than if you'd just started fresh. This post has links to all the good videos:

I'm in the same boat about to buy a DX6i, so what a pity no one bothered to put down the basic dx6i settings for the Mini Titan. All very well pointing at Bob's vids but nothing there for the Mini Titan (or indeed any of the Thunder Tiger range), and the DX6i vid for the Trex450 is not really relevant as many of the figures needed for the MT are different, due to the way the MT's swash functions.
What the OP asked for (which I was hoping to find as well) were some basic figures for the DX6i from a Mini Titan pilot, as a starting point. Any help anyone? (already been thru Bob's vids, so please don't suggest...) |

The problem is that it will depend on which servos you use (reversing etc.), which arms you are using on the servos, which holes on the arms, which motor, which pinion etc. etc. Someone using exactly the same set-up may have different settings due to their experience level etc..
Nic - if you have any issues you are very welcome to phone me .... Mike. |

Thanks Mike, I might take you up on that. I'm due to get mine on Tuesday, but thought I'd plan ahead and try to get some ballpark figures for the settings like the OP wanted, as I guess my cheapo Perkins TX is not gonna provide anything the DX6i will recognise and it means trying to fumble around in the dark to get some figures to start from.
Already downloaded the manual for the DX6i so I'm just going through it to see how it looks. If I get stuck round about Tues or Wed evening you may get a call from an exasperated bb! Thanks Nic |

Not sure what it's worth, but I'll share. I have JR DS285 cyclic servos, Futaba GY520 gyro, and a S9650 servo on the tail. I setup mine for +/-10 deg of collective pitch and +/-6 deg of cyclic pitch. DX6i settings are as follows:
D/R&EXPO Aile: 15% EXP Elev: 15% EXP Rudd: 75% D/R, 30% EXP TRAVEL ADJ (DN/UP or L/R) Thro 100/100 Aile 105/100 Elev 106/105 Rudd 100/100 Gyro 100/100 Pitc 100/100 GYRO (>50% HH, <50% Rate) 0: 70% 1: 30% THRO CUR Norm: 0, 45, 75, 87.5, 100 Stunt: 100, 87.5, 75, 87.5, 100 PITC CUR Norm: 40, 45, 50, 75, 100 Stunt: 25, 37.5, 50, 75, 100 SWASH MIX Aile: +69% Elev: -69% Pitch: -67% |

Thanks nwjhawk, I've just ordered my dx6i so I'll see how they compare with the figs off my old 35mhz tx when my dx6i arrives.
Anyone happen to know if the rubber antenna on the dx6i is removable for transit in carry case or is it a one-piece permanent attachment? Manual doesn't mention it. |
