Default DX7 Heli Programming Guide

Hey Guys,
I made a DX7 Heli Programming Guide in Microsoft Excel so I could log my radio settings in my computer rather than writing them down by hand. Here it is if anyone's interested.

Default Corrected D/R & Expo section.

Hey Everyone,
I used the DX7 Programming Guides provided by Spektrum as a template for my spreadsheets and realized yesterday that the headings under the D/R & Expo section were reversed from the way they appear in the radio (ie: Expo should appear above D/R). This can be confusing when logging your settings. I have corrected the both spreadsheets so that sections appears as it does in the radio. I apologize for not catching it sooner. The old spreadsheets can still be used you just have to pay a little more attention when logging your D/R expo settings.

Default XL sheet

What a good idea to keep things neat. I keep changing my settings and scribbling down figures and then not understanding them or cannot find them. Your way makes good sense. The only thing I have added which is nothing really is a comment box.

Here's one I did a while back. Uses drop-downs for field values.

Very nice setup sheets and very usefull. I agree sharing some pre-filled sample sheets would be even better.

Okay, I'm also new to heli's. Despite watching dozens of great videos there's still some doubt on some settings.

Attached is a sheet with the settings of my 450PRO. The sheet is made by a friend,

I use it to 'back up' the settings in case something goes wrong, I had a DX6i gone bad on me one time, it took me a day to get the heli setup properly again, that ain't gonna happen a second time!

My stunt 1 and stunt 2 curves are V-curves. For the DX7 it does not matter if you calculate what P1 and P3 should be and fill those values in or if you just leave them at INH and let the DX7 calculate it for you. Putting P1 and P3 as INH has the advantage that when you want to change your curve you only have to change 3 points (the DX7 will calculate the other too).

Haven't checked this thread in a little while but I noticed there were a few requests for pre-filled settings sheets. I just wanted to let everyone know to please feel free to re-post the sheets that I created to share and/or trade settings.

Here is the PDF sheet I got from Spektrum. I have one in Excel will post later, I need to save it as a spreadsheet not a macro enabled spreadsheet, like I have it right now.

.pdf DX7 Spectrum Sheet

Here is the Excel sheet, with the settings I had for my T-Rex 450 Pro as a trainer.

Default 9503 trainer settings for Trex 450

Hey guys. I sure could use someone's 9503 settings on a sheet like this so I could get back to flying my old 450 SE again. Many thanks!

Can you supply the password for this as I'd like to resize the graphic?
