Default Hello all from Ft. Myers, Florida

I got started just like a lot of you. Bought a toy grade helicopter from Brookstone and was not very impressed, but it sure peaked my interest. I eventually got into rc cars and trucks. I have a 1/16 scale e-revo, 1/10 scale e-revo, 1/10 scale rustler, and a 1/10 scale e-maxx. I decided to revisit the helicopters and bought an eflite 120 sr and an msr about 1 1/2 years ago. Since then, I got the blade 450 3d when it first came out last July and now I am the proud owner of a trex 600 efl pro. I have been lurking for a while on HF and there is a wealth of information here and very friendly people as well.

How's it going rstekeur? I've been flying out there off Metro and Ben C. Pratt. According to Mark at Paradise Hobbies, I think you guys call it Citrus Park. Looking at your fleet, I think I met you once out there while you were flying your Raptor. Well, you almost got it off the ground. I think your servo was bad and you had a boom strike. It was too windy that day for me to get my blade 450 up. I work every other weekend, so I try to get there around 8:00 a.m. on my weekends off. Last weekend the 450 had a premature landing and "a few things" kinda broke, so I'm stuck on the ground for now. Granted, I have a brand new trex 600 sitting on the shelf looking pretty, I just don't have the guts to fly it yet. I'm sure I'll see you out there at some point. I look forward to it.

Yes, unfortuatly I remember that. I probably need to start numbering my crashes for easy referance. That raptor has been rebuilt a couple of time since then. If you need a hand with your 450 or want to get together to fly let me know, i've rebuilt my 450 half a dozen times now. Is your 600 a elec or nitro?

I know what you mean. I've had to put mine back together several times. Hopefully if I can get my hands on all the parts I need I should be able to get back out there not this weekend, but the next. July 14,15 around 8:00 a.m. The 600 is electric fbl. I know it is easier to fly from what I've heard than a 450, but I need some more stick time. Between down time from a bad motor to vacation out of town, I've only flown a handful of times in the last 5 weeks. I'll keep in touch.

try this place http://www.hopmeuprc.com/ for 450 parts. There cheap and ship pretty fast and there in the USA.The LHS is pretty hit and miss with parts.
