Generator came in today. I'll weigh it full of gas and oil tomorrow, Scott.

Ok, full of gas and oil, it weighed in at 51 lbs. The dry weight was listed at 44 lbs.

Here is a page with the specs. http://www.yamahamotorsports.com/out...6/0/specs.aspx

It is pretty darn quiet. Even at full tilt, i was able to have a conversation while standing right next to it. I did have to raise my voice, but not to a yell. A 30ft extension cord would almost have you forgetting about it.

@50Lbs it's a bit heavy for me to lift and carry on my lap but my good buddy, HF member S450 said he'd weld me up an undercarriage for it.
Then I can just roll it on to my wheelchair lift to load and unload it.

If it has a fuel shutoff and closing vent it'd likely live in the van most of the summer.
Most stops I leave the lift deployed and van open (country living) so not going to be any build up of fumes.

If I am going somewhere I know the truck will be closed up and in the sun I'll leave the gen at home in the garage.

That'd be really cool. Sean would be the man to do it too ...

Thats super cool man. Where there is a will there is a way.

There is indeed a fuel shutoff and a close-able vent. As a matter of fact, that is really the reason I went with the Yamaha over the Honda. The Honda does not have a fuel cutoff.

I ran the thing for a bit today. I also timed how long it took to run itself empty and die after you turn the fuel off. Just under 3 mins on each of three tries. That isn't bad at all. I really like the idea of being able to run the carb and float bowl dry.
