Share your Phoenix video recordings here.
Share and watch Phoenix video recordings! Nothing like spectating others and watching stick movements and changing camera views etc...
---------------- Instructions: TO RECORD A VIDEO: Call up the video recorder in phoenix.. make your recording.. save it.. then quit phoenix. Go to 'owner Documents/PhoenixRC/recordings' and find the file you just made and zip and upload... or you can sure send it to me (PM me for email address) and I can host it. TO PLAY A VIDEO: Download the file (or zip file)... unzip if necessary... move it to your 'owner documents/PhoenixRC/recordings' folder.. run Phoenix.. call up the video recorder.. click the open button and you should see it in the list! Be sure to click the left-most button so you don't fly ALONG with the other heli.. but spectate the other heli --------------- To get the ball rolling... Here is my current skill level after 8 months on the Blade 400... nothing fancy but this shows what I can currently do in real life and what I will be practicing more come spring 2009... (at the moment it is -12F and snowing 8+ inches ) Tx.. SLY

Tx HFG very nice!
Now I am thinking that maybe this sticky won't be so active as I thought. How about some requests? I'd like to see someone demo funnels in all 8 orientations on a T-Rex 450. So far I can only do 2... nose in upright one CW direction and tail in upright CCW direction.. not even sure if they are truly "funnels" but they look and sound cool. Is a TRUE funnel always inverted like the phoenix demo on that big nitro?

Sly i did a quick funnel demo for you I sent it to you via email. You can upload it and add it to this thread if you want. I would suggest adding to the original post, add a kind of how to. People may not be aware of how to you or create their own recordings.

Can anyone here (HFG?) do heli funnels for a prolonged time? Like HFG's demo.. but each orientation for at least 30 seconds? I am trying so hard to learn funnels and it would be helpful to spectate long enough to study the sticks etc. I realize prolonged funnels are probably more difficult with controlling altitude and bank rate etc. But are no doubt the best sim practice for real deal. Thanks.

Sly i can do one up later but there won't be much to see, when doing funnels once you are into the funnel the sticks move very little. The trick to funnels is to control the tail. The tail has to be perfectly up or down. When the tail is perfectly up and down you just have to use the aileron to control the size of the circle that forms the funnel. You than use the elevator and a tiny bit of collective to control the altitude.

WOAH! You really DO know what you are doing. Even though just last night I stated showing skills in the sim is worthless (in another thread)... one can surely tell when someone really knows what they are doing. Thanks for sharing. I'll be saving that one and studying the sticks!
