circle in wind
Hi all,
My banked circles are getting better and better and I started to cranked up the wind in phoenix to add more difficulties. With that new parameter inbound,I see a lot of speed change and drifting in my circles.(due to flying upwind or downwind) I was wondering what should be the compensation with the stick when flying circles in windy condition. Is it all collective management or is it done with the elevator?

Elevator, collective, rudder and aileron. Pretty much everything.
For example, in big banked turns/hurricanes you can control the altitude using rudder.

thanks,
I can figured a lot better how to control the altitude with aileron and rudder than my speed. The worst part is always to keep up the speed when the heli turns from a upwind position to a a downwind position (and back around). It looks crappy when you see the heli flying downwind at 30kmh and 180deg. later,it is slowed down to 10-15kmh.all this happen really quick in tight circle and I can't see how to counter it. I guess I will need to pratice those circle again and again to get the proper correction. It's amazing how much a single parameter like wind can change up everything you have learned. Those circle are by far a real torture
