Might sound like a silly question but I am brand new to E's...

With modern ESC's and motors, does the headspeed still drop off as the flight progresses? That is, as you run the batteries down, does the headspeed also slow down if you are running a governed rpm?

If you run fixed end points then yes definately head speed degrades during the flight. If you have a proper governed setup then head speed is constant throughout the flight.
