Hi!
I've bought a 200SE V2 kit, but due to spending a tad too much money this summer, I'll have to be a bit cheap on the servos. I won't be flying hard 3d for a while, just regular sports/aerobatics. My choice on tail servo is Align 425M for the tail, so that's sorted out. For cyclic servo's tho, I'm having some problems deciding between Hitec HS-45HB or Power HD-D65HB. Does anyone have experience with this servos in the 200? Bjørn

I have not used those servos-- on my gaui I followed Nextgen's build and used the hyperions (see sig)-- they have been working great.

Tempting to roll with them with the easy programming with USB-cable, mabe they'll last until I swap over to FBL... Wallet gonna scream though, no dinner for me for a couple weeks

Same, also using the same servos on a X2 (FBL) with no issues. Hyperion make excellent servos for the money.

Ended up with the Hitec ones, know brand that I trust. I'll definitively look into the Hyperion servos for later although, the easy programming is VERY tempting.
I'll most likely make a build blog for the lil' thing, since it'll be upgraded with a 3 or 5 blade head as well as a Tigershark F3C body when I grow a bit used to its flying characteristics with paddles.

I'm using Hyperion DS-09 servos and they're working good. Only thing is that the elevator servo needs to installed sticking out more so that the servo horn won't strike the side of the frame. Often this means having to add a washer or shim so that the servo can stick out a bit.
Any other brand of servos we can use so that we don't to have to extend the servos out?

Hi torch8!
I use Savox's on my FES.
I had originally wanted to use the hyperions to save weight. I ordered them directly from hyperion europe, and when they got here one was defective. I decided not to take the risk with the others and sent them all back. Savox seem to be reliable so far, but a bit heavy. Ciao, Bob |

Hey Bob, good to know, does your Savox Elevator servo has to stick out to properly align servo horn?

I must say I'm pretty impressed with the 45's I put in. I thought I'd keep the 200 with flybar for lazy days, but put on the FBL head with Gaui FBL system (which is going out again...) after two days of regular flight with the FB head and they keep up pretty well. Even when slamming the cyclic around with the limited 3D I can do (mostly piroflips, tic-tocs, rainbows and such).

I use and trust the Hitec HS-65MG. They have stood up to a year of learning cp flight. I realize they are analog but work with the ZYX-s FBL system.
