Not sure if I understand the question above but the errors I got were shown on the radio when I went to the final step of importing a SPM that I had modified with your program.

The file was modified on the PC and then copied to the card and card was then put in Tx.

When using the Tx in the section to import a file, the file showed up fine in the selection of files on the card, and was even selectable as one to import, but upon the final approval where it would overwrite the current file, that is when it showed me on the Tx screen what I wrote.

Hope that is of some help.
That was a huge help, thank you! I am at a conference all week, but as soon as I get home, I will check out my dx8 again and try to see if I can recreate them. Hopefully I can and it will be an easy fox

Default New Version!

New version is up!!

Fixes import errors when using saved profiles on your transmitters.

Also added a new feature to allow people to use their favorite profiles on Phoenix by fixing the Servo directions, swash and creating a new file with a sp_ prefix.

Keep the bug reports and requests coming guys!

Justin, know this is probably a lot of work, but was just curious if by what you are saying above about fixing the import errors pertains to the issues I was having getting the profiles I had done imported into my Dx7s? Or was this another issue?

Will give this version a try if it is, but also might be quite wrapped up for the weekend so I might not be able to get to it for a little bit.

Also on just a suggestion note and I don't know if this is really hard or not, but its great that you now have a notification that a new version is up, but for this as well as just for the sake of it, I might suggest a click-able link to your programs website in your about info banner?

Typically this first place I go when I am looking to see if I can find a link to a programs website. For this time I kinda figured out to use the online library tab, but I think for most people, if they get the note that there is a new version are going to go to the help>about menu.

For sure I would not recommend a proceeding website bring up if there is a update available, as I always find that annoying.

As all ways, thanks for all the great work.

Thanks for the tips!

I have put a Check for Updates in the Help section as suggested.

The bug fixes were to do with the fact that two values in the SPM files are wrapped in quotes, while every other value is not. Unfortunately I missed one which is why you were getting the string errors.

I have done a lot more testing before putting this version up, and everything looks good on my Dx8, so I hope the same is true for yours. Unfortunately, the SPM files are different on the Dx7s so I lack the ability to perform final checks and really rely on you guys to tell me if I have screwed up or not.

Have tried the latest version now.

Seems very nice! Good work! Have just two things:

- The KDS 450Q profile crashes on import

- If you start the program and then check "simple" and "detailed" the window don't resize correct, can't see full window with file library.

.......

And now for something completely different... the hidden features in the files. Is there some chance of possibility to edit the Throttle Hold function to use three values instead of two?

(if you put it on a 3-way switch, would be great to have some bailout. I know many who would like this feature. Ideal would be throttle 65%, 80%, 95% or whatever you want on flight mode switch and a Hold-switch with 0% 15% and OFF, where 15% is the bailout-value for use in eg vbar)

Thanks for letting me know Danny!! I checked the profile out and it is corrupt in the middle which is why my application could not import it. I have seen a few of these now, and I am getting a little concerned about the Dx8's export function. I have removed it from the site..

I am keen to know more about this "hidden" feature. More than happy to write it in to my application, but I might need to understand more about how it works, then figure out how that would translate in to the SPM file.

The other option is somebody donate a Skookum or something else which has bailout for me to troubleshoot on

Very nice work. Please, consider adding an option to print the parameters/settings. Thanks.

Default Hidden Throttle Curve?!

Was trying a little today to modify the SPM-files to get two Hold-curves. No luck. But I found an interesting thing.

There seems to five different throttle curves.

Anyone know how to "access" the fifth one? See here:

Code:
<ThroCurve>
analogID= 16
conditionID= 0
trimID= 64
assignedCurve: 0 1 2 3 1

[Curvedata]
*Index= 0
points= 5
Expo=Disabled
trimActive=Disabled
X: -1023 -511 0 511 1023 0 0
Y: -1023 -1023 -1023 -1023 -1023 0 0
[/Curvedata]
The assigned curved are 0,1,2,3 and 1.

There is FIVE curves defined in the file and the last one has Index=4. That one is not assigned to the "throttle curves function".

(actually, the one here Index=0 is for Hold)

I have no idea how to activate that last curve, can't understand how the three position switches are assigned to the functions, look here for the F-Mode switch:

Code:
<FMode>
switch_a= 41
switch_b= 47
switch_c= 0
size= 9
data: 1 0 0 2 0 0 3 0 0
</FMode>
The switch_b is Hold, and that function is assigned to switch 47. And that should be one of the <Digital> blocks. But whatever. If there is no way of activating that last curve (or put a new constant value for throttle) there is no use for this anyway.

I hope I "interpreted" this right now. It feels like there could be solvable in some way, anyone got some ideas?

I just can't sleep... found a solution I think, sorry for going OT but just to reply to my own question...

Put TH on a 3-way switch (eg AUX2) and put a mix like this to fix a second TH-value!!!
  • Activate Gyro-function. Ch:GEAR, Sw:Gov. -100%,-100%,0%
  • GYR > THR
  • Rate: 0% 20% (where 20 is your preffered bailout-value)
  • Offset: 0%
  • Välj H

I think you are on to something Danny. Pretty keen to see how you go. If you get it working let me know and I will write it into my application so it is easier to access the functionality....

I don't know, anyway. I have found my in-radio method usable, just had to change so the bailout is in the middle of the stick. I put gyro-function on the channel so it's more editable. That should work now. Ok, I'm using a whole channel more just to get this done but since I have a spare channel it's no problem

Maybe we will get some more info of this when the DX18 comes out and investigate SPM-files from that one, it has more Flight modes

Sorry guys, I have been slacking off lately

1.0.6 is up with the ability to list profiles based on their Profile name instead of just the filename. It also has some tooltips that I will add to over time. Lastly there are a few bug fixes.

Huge thank you to everybody that has emailed me their suggestions and feature requests. I am doing my best to get through them all

Can anyone confirm if trim step is adjustable for DX7S using profile manager (to set to zero to disable trims on cyclic/rudder for beastx)?
