That is true, but with our currency going down the toilet faster than you can say "Adam", it becomes difficult to get the funds for the bigger birds. Hence I would like a size in the 450 class. Easier on the wallet.

It will be interesting to see what else they do than a boom, belt and tail rod. I can see the kit would come with the new canopy to give full size servo options but the battery setup is the biggest question.

Not all 5000mah packs will fit and 570mm blades on 6s is going to be very hard on the packs if you want to set it up for smack like SAB like to do. I would guess balance will also be an issue with the longer boom. So that will mean maybe a new frame (and canopy) to take 7s, 8s, 10s? But then that would need new packs as only the 7s would share with the 770, the other chioces don't.

Motor KV choice will also be interesting. For 6s a 16t on a 1200kv is ok with 520mm blades but at 570 you will want to be a couple more pinions down which start getting too small for high loads. If you look at 7s, 8s, 10s then you need to go down under 1000kv so that will mean a limited number of motor choices.

I don't need a smack machine so I would be happy with just the boom, belt and tail rod running my current packs and running a lower head speed but going by SAB's normal standard they release Heli's that are fully capable of Hard 3d so I will be very interested to see which way they end up going with this Heli.

So if this link is showing all the common parts with the 500 then we can look at the parts not listed here to see the changes to the 570. In that case, the boom, belt, tail rod as expected, main frames and canopy as well but interestingly neither side of the tail case/tail fin is listed. Could just be a colour change I guess but maybe they are going to a new version like the Speed or comp edition with part metal?

The plot thickens.

That's about it. Minimal development for a new heli and easy to keep under the radar compared to a completely new design...

When we look at SAB if this heli comes to light they really only have 2 helis...

The 500 frame with 2 different sizes original 500 and stretched 570.
The 700 frame with 3 different sizes original 700, shrunk 630, streched 770.

There has been an evolution of parts that cross many of the models with some variances such as the big belt on the 770 and sometimes 700 and the dampened tail first on the 500 then adapted into the new competition helis.

The 450 being a completely new design will likely be later in the year.

This is pure speculation based on available information and probabilities.

As stated previously we will only know for sure when SAB announces things officially.

Couldn't agree with you more. I praise SAB for their modular design. I brought my first goblin as a g700 and after a year of ownership I am slowly turning it into a g770c. I love the idea of rebuilding my g500 into a 570 after a few crashes.

This would work as a 12s 2600mAh and share packs with your non-Goblin 500 class (like a Protos).

That being said, I'd be far more excited for a 450 than a 550 class myself.

why a 570? and not 550 or 600? Because they want to force everybody to fly with crappy sab blades?

I suppose 7S for your 570 and 770, 6S for 500 and 700 makes some form of sense.

Problem is when you have a 630 and a 12s 770.

Ho hum

If they made a 550 everyone would want to put bigger blades on it if they could. By going to 570 right out the gates you can choose to run the 550s if you want, where the reverse may not be an option. I don't see anything wrong with SAB blades, they're quick and pretty efficient. They're much better than align blades imho.

and if the 570 blades are like the 770 blades they are a narrower blade than most everyone else. an edge 753 has more total surface area than the sab 770's so the edge 553's and rail 556 blades would most likely be a "bigger" than the 570's

Oh what if it's a 8S set up ? Oh no I'm not gonna get suck into this.
My 4400 mah packs works nicely for my 500, 630 & 700. Soon
gonna run low HS on my Stretch 770 with 12s 4400 packs

maybe, it would be nice to have a actual longer boom. it really depends what it looks like when it hits. what other features it has. plus if i got the 500 then i'd have to get the fullsize servo kit and canopy, then stretch kit. in the end the 500 with steve's kit may be the best option, will find out in march i guess

The G500 is definitely a nice machine. You could always fly it stock for a little while and use the conversion later. Just make sure you get the largest batteries you can with a very high c rating. All I can say is the g500 is the best heli I have owned, by a considerable margin.

Good info mate! I feel 95% sure they will release actuall info about a heli in the 450 size, as well as the stretch kit for the 500. And I just might end up with both options

While everyone has their own opinion and favorite blades, I have been flying SAB blades for years and prefer them. I flew them long before I was part of SAB, so I'm not just saying that because I'm a rep.
I'm making a guess that you will probably be able to fly 550 blades on the 570 if you prefer. We know there are plenty of 550 blades from many manufacturers. You will likely just have to run a slightly higher headspeed if you run shorter blades.

+1 everyone has been able to change the blade sizes on all the other Gobs so far and have a choice of what manufacture they want to go with. There's no reason for you to be stuck with the stock blades if you'd rather us another kind... Jm2c

I think I like the Idea of the 570. I already have a 12s 500 that I had to order a set of 523s to get flying correct (packs are heavy). Larger disk and say, 2500-2600 RPM is where I would like to be.
