- There's a demand for 450 size heli
- 450 size helis use 425mm and SAB goes by blade size - not typical (500,600,700,800)
- There're 70mm difference between all models (except 570 and 630, which is 60mm, but these two models are in different category, and still almost 70mm like the rest)

Here's the graph:
Tradional 450 sized helis use 325mm blades, not 425mm. 425's go on your traditional 500 sized (ie Align TREX500)

I don't think there will be any shrinking of the 500 going on, it's too heavy for 430 blades and the 630 is doing OK in the lineup but nowhere near the 700.

Next size 450 class will be targeting the 6s stretched 450 class of helis like stretch protos started, then Warp360 and then 450L Dominator.
Not happening anytime immediate though.

Except 450's typically run 325's, not 425's

500's usually run 425's

Edit: i see Snemi00 beat me to the punch

Just different color codes would be my guess.

You may or may not be aware, but Align's sizing was primarily based on the numbers they used on their Electric motors. This was moved over from brushed motor days, where '600' for example used to mean something about the motor. Then it goes even deeper when you start talking nitro. For instance the G630 would be considered a '60 class' bird, where a 600 is a '50 class' bird. Not many new folks remember 60-sized helis. There are still only a handful today. Naming a heli by its blade size makes far more sense these days as people choose their power center for any given model differently. What we are really interested in is the true blade size... At least I am.

Yes, I heard of that and it is very confusing for new guys like me

I was just thinking that G430 could be a heli with 430mm blades (500 typical align), since Goblin already has kinda 550 (or G500), 600 (or G570), '60 class (or G630), 700 (G700) and 800 (G770).

Am I in the ballpark?

... I just didn't get the weight/power ratio for shrunk G500 being too heavy for 430mm blades...

Looking back at the first photo it does appear to share the same main block as the Goblin 500.

So i'm going to take a stab at what is required to convert from Goblin500 to Goblin 570:

Frame sides
Full Size servo mounts
Tail Boom
Tail Belt
Tail Pushrod
Aluminum Tail Case Spacer
Blades of course

I'm going to setup for 12s of course.

I'll start with the YGE90HV esc and a WR BEC and then when the new Jive Pro 80HV comes out, for sure that will go in the heli.
Pyro 850 for me, not sure which kV just yet, there is a wide selection there.

I'm also going to try out an XNOVA motor at some point soon, I've got Rotorquest setting up for them now. Just getting the details sorted out on which sizes to get on the initial order

Looks very nice, but I find myself wondering.. if I'm going to run 12s on the 570, why not just go for the 630? I'm not sure what advantage the 570 size has, other than being a bit cheaper to operate than the 630.

Anybody else notice the blades on the 570 and the 700 in the pictures? I wonder if we are going to see a new style blade from SAB soon. I hope so those are cool looking blades.

The 630 is a real heavy machine, but also much bigger. It's not really my thing. Mostly just a smack machine that can take ungodly abuse.

This 570 is a real lightweight in comparison. It will be much more nimble and I think fly with razor sharp precision.

Have a look at the 700 market and compare a Thunder Tiger E700 which is a real lightweight to the Logo 700XXtreme.
Both beautiful machines but on completely different ends of the spectrum to eachother in design and execution.
