The How Many Flights Competition
Hi, I'd like to start a competition. While some have been very vocal about their discontent with their 130X, I've gotten 120 flights in 2 weeks time and made more progress in my flying skills in those 2 weeks than in a normal summer (I'm a teacher)...
I've not modded much, just a shim next to the D gear to clean the tail up. Flying KBDD tail blades soon to be released and that's about it. Haven't touched much else. Oh yeah, I have logged a good 25 crashes, most of which were over pavement and yes, while things are getting a might touch sloppy in the main shaft and it's gears and hubs, I have not really replaced anything save the A gear once. This thing is tough and flies very well. It's not perfect, but it sure is fun! How many flights do you have? Here's one from last night... Wish I was keeping track. I've gotta be close to the same number. I'm averaging 10 a day for the past couple weeks. Lots of crashes and no major damage. I've cleaned the tail servo and replaced the main gear. Still running great!

19 and the servo shaft screw came off. My fault for not checking it and maybe putting CA on it as a couple of people mentioned. Waiting for new servo to arrive. Everything else fine.

I snapped the carbon rod that held the canopy mounts and am forced to. I don't mind tho, had to fly naked w/ my 6s 450 for a few hundred flights until I got lipos that fit under the cano. Your mind stops paying attention to part of the heli and really begins to just see the whole thing.

I'm currently at 29 flights and 4 in flight part failures. No, I'm not discouraged.

I have about 100 flights... nanotech 300s are starting to die on me lol
Had my first big crash today; helicopter was essentially perpendicular to the ground and idle up when it hit. Didn't break anything, but the canopy got chipped a little bit so she isn't pretty anymore. |

Nice flying Cullen, am at around 60 flights now 4 crashes, replaced one A gear and one C gear, nothing else, so far, I'm thinking this heli is on par with mcpx in terms of durability, at least the landing gear is more flexible compared to the brittle Mcpx ones, and stock plastic parts are pretty durable compared to the mcpx, I remember snapping a swash ball link just by removing a servo link, well not with the 130X, the stock canopy of the 130X is obviously made out of better quality compared to the Mcpx canopy too big time, no big problems as of yet, other than the obvious sloppy tail that can cause some blowouts which I can live with for now. Microheli will hopefully save the day for us. Collective management is improving too with this little guy! Overall, I'm really happy with this heli, a less bogging motor, and better tail assembly, that's all I need.

I am at 18. No crashes. Took it out of the box, oiled the bearings and greased the gears. Lack if batteries and proper charging cables is killing me at the moment. That should be rectified shortly. I have been using two mCPX packs in series and they are red hot after a flight so I am concerned I will kill them, so not putting on too many flights at the moment.

I've only gotten six flights in....3 batteries one charger....not much time in the afternoons yet...so far I have knocked a tooth off the A gear from a tail strike but it's still holding...I worked it over with an exacto knife and it holds.....I love this heli...need more batteries and a multi port charger.......
