Well, actually I prefer a warm day, wearing t-shirt and shorts, and enjoying a cold beer afterwards. But yeah, flying on a cold day beats no flying ;-)

I grew up on the Finnmarksvidda. Now I live near Oslo. I don't notice any biting bugs here

The other direction. It's south of Oslo, not far from Tusenfryd.

I have updated the guide at http://www.jotto.no/heliwinter/ . I added a section about "The Ultimate Raydiowarm Solution" with HobbyKing tire warmers and more.

It's the opposite of the "too hot to fly" season in Arizona. Except that we can actually fly in the cold

Ah well, almost summer here.

Not that winter is too cold to fly here, it just rains a fair amount

I was out flying the other night ( early evening) .. Temp was -2 deg C ..... flipping freezing on the fingers...but not a cold as Norway !!!!!

The noise of the heli seems to carry more on a cold night .... sounds brilliant, the wife said she could hear the pitch changes from almost a mile away

I love flying in the snow, you can make some nice patterns when you crash !
