Default EC5 / EC3 .. do you put cylinders into male blue housing or female

there are a bunch of combinations. Cylinders go on the battery wires, I get that. But then do you put the cylinders into the narrower housing, or the wider housing, or it doesn't matter (unless you sell the batteries with the connector and find someone else did the opposite).

also do you put the red wire into the round half of the housing, or the squared off half.

On both EC3 and EC5, the Male Pin goes in the larger of the connector bodies, and the Female Barrel goes into the smaller of the bodies, and the Positive Red wire goes in the Half Round part, Negative Black goes in the round. If you look at the body there is a + and a - molded on the body, and if you buy the connectors by themselves, male only or female only they come as described. Plus if you buy Eflite equipment it comes with the connectors as listed.

See this picture.

nyc. You will find that the neg/pos symbols are printed on the top but the pos wire should go int the halfround side. It's good to have these standard so you can use other guys chargers and 'borrow' lipos at the field.

Edit. Pays to read the post properly. Backburner already said what i said.

So anyway what he said^^^
