Default #3 - News Timeline

Hello Helifreak-Users,

this is one of 4 threads to support our customers better. In this thread I want to post all the news we have (new products, products replace others and new team pilots) in a chronic.

Please do not post here! I want to keep it as clean as possible.

Greetings

Compass is releasing the new heavy duty ball link. This ball link is designed for highest loads and hold extremly well on the ball. Please always use a ball link plier to mount or remove it from the ball. The Item Number is 02-0709ST.

The new ball link can be used for the FBL-Drive for 6HV Ultimate, 550 Ultimate, WARP, 7HV, 7HV Ultimate and Chronos.

Another use are the links between swashplate and servos on the 550 Ultimate, 6HV Ultimate, 7HV, 7HV Ultimate and Chronos.

The injection quality is awesome and way better as the 02-0709S before.

Compass Model is proud to announce that we increased our current team. Welcome Mr. Henrik Clausen. He is a very talented young pilot. He started as fieldrep a couple months ago and increased his skills very fast.

This video shows Henrik flying the 7HV Ultimate.

I presume the 30mm circle refers to the mounting diameter?

Additional: As some persons contacted me in facebook. The Compass-Shop is open for orders in the USA and Canada too, as the number of shops with a good stock in the USA is very low, we have to do it, till the situation is better. We don't think it is a real competitor for Prostar as Prostar is in the country with relatively short shiping times and a similar pricing. We use airparcel and we expect about 10 days shiping time.

The link for the new 6HVU manual does not work. I can't seem to find it on the website. Can someone point me to it, please?

IMHO the Compass Shop deserves a sticky topic because of its importance, especially for non US folks. It's really a breakthrough!

I updated the Vendor sticky, removing some shops that appear to be out of the Compass business and adding the Compass Model Shop. Please post in that thread if you know of any new ones or if some of the existing ones need to be removed. Clutter should be kept to a minimum here.

I am curious about how the presence of this new shop is going to effect existing small businesses that carry Compass, specifically Prostar. I worry for Mike. He has been great and I would hate to see a lot of his customers jump ship to use this new shop.

I intend to still buy my Compass stuff exclusively from Prostar.

I don't think anyone in the US is gonna get parts from the compass shop instead of prostar unless prostar doesn't have the parts. Shipping would take much longer. I feel like we really need this to ensure we can always get parts when we need them. If prostar is out of stock on certain parts for weeks at a time, we cant be expected to just sit with our helis grounded. A lot of people use lack of parts support as an excuse to not buy compass.

You make a good point about shipping and having an available backup. Although, people also like to buy everything from one place. If Prostar is missing one item, it seems likely to me that the whole order will go to the Compass shop.

I suppose it has it's pros and cons, depending on who and where you are.

#10 February 02th 2015 - Video Manual for the 6HV Ultimate

This is a trailer for the video manual of the 6HV Ultimate coming soon.
With that manual the customer is able to assemble the helicopter by just watching the video manual on the TV without reading any paper or pdf script.
