New Owner DX 18QQ: Help required

Hi,

I have just now become an owner of DX 18QQ (US version, no. 1564).

Got it at a good price of 800$ and has been used only one day for 3 or 4 flights by a planker.

Will sell of the AR12120 receiver with X plus expansion module. PM me for offers. The receiver has been used only for 3 or 4 flights.

Now, i need help of you guys. Will convert it to mode 2. I was just reading the manual and have started doing programming of Nano Cpx. changed the throttle curves accordingly.

I have assigned throttle hold to switch A. How do i assign the Normal, Idle up 1 and Idle up 2 to Switch G ??

I have throttle hold on left and stunt modes on right in JR dsx 7 , so i prefer it this way.

One more question: I dont know if the planker registered it at spektrumrc.com or not and whether he has updated it to 1.04d software update. How to know this?

You can assign normal, idle up 1 and 2 to switch G by going into System Setup/F-Mode Setup and change Switch 1 to switch G. If you need idle up 3, assign switch 2 to whatever switch you want other than G.

You can find out what version the firmware is, by going into System Setup/System Settings/Serial Number. The firmware version will be at the bottom of the screen. Ask the previous owner if he registered it, or the updated firmware will be above default version 1.00. You can only update the firmware by registering the TX....

So, if i choose switch G in front of Flight mode 1, the Normal, Idle up 1 and Idle up 2 will get activated by this switch?

I dont need an idle up 3. So, shall i choose the option CLEAR in front of Flight mode 2.

If you actually have a US version Mode 2 DX18QQ, the default Flight Mode Setup screen looks like the first picture. The second picture shows how the Flight Mode Setup screen will look after making the changes you want to make.

US version is default Mode 2. Do not try to use the Flight Mode Names screen to make switch assignments. Follow the path I said in my first reply to get to the Flight Mode Setup screen....

Flight mode 1: Switch G

Flight mode 2: Inhibit

Hold: Switch A

Now, will move on to the next step.
