Default Best soldering kit?

Hi all

What soldering kit would y'all recommend for soldering of battery leads, main boards (mCP X) etc...?

Secondly, what soldering wire is the best to use on RC aircraft?

I am really wanting to get proficient in soldering so I don't have to rely on others to get battery connectors installed, and all other kinds of upgrades performed.

Thanks a bunch.

Metcal soldering stations are the best. I would look for a used one on eBay. I got a MX500 for $80.

Another vote for the Hakko. I've thrown out all my cheap pencil irons after using this.
