That's a good thing, cause ultimatehobbies.com seems to be out again. Jeeez...that didn't take long. I think I'm going to hit them up for a commission.

Yup, all gone in one day. They said they received over 30 units and they are all gone. Great folks to deal with also; they'll be getting more business from me. I had an address conflict since I have things delivered to my job and they held one for me and called me to get it straight. After all that they still got one in the mail to me the same day.

gale155, they should give you a serious price break on your DX8.

Now all I need is one of these for my new DX8,

https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=244662

and some type of carry case.

Did you get an e-mail confirmation that it had been shipped, or was it by phone? I haven't received anything yet, other than an order confirmation. This is my first transaction with UH, but I've read a bunch of good reviews. Sure have good prices...anyone looking for a Blade 400 should check them out.

Well, my DX-8 arrived on time, and the only thing I can say so far is that upgrades are super fast and easy with the included 128mb sd card. That's a good thing, since I downloaded v1.02 yesterday, and v1.03 today. Really impressed with UH's free shipping by FedEx...3-days from California to Missouri.

Oh...and it sure is purdy.

I finally have it, 1st thoughts are...........unbelievably cool, the only complaint is that my serial number is invalid so I cant register for the software updates. I absolutely love this radio, top marks to Horizon

Jarrad, the serial number got me baffled for a few moments: it's not the one on the box tht matches the sticker in the battery compartment, it's the number in the system settings submenu.

One of the firmare updates changes the font as some of the letters /numbers can be hard to read on the screen when registering the radio. Look carefully and try to determine if you are misreading a digit.

I was said that new stock in Europe should arrive in two weeks (service support), I'm waiting for a new replacement unit for a while now (had range issues).
