Question Brushless upgrade

Hello I'm new to helifreak but I have really enjoyed getting info on the genius cp as it is on it's way to my house. I have a question about my new helicopter that is on its way. I have read that the brushed motor goes out after awhile and a new one has to be bought and I am having a hard time trying to figure out wether I should upgrade to a brushless motor buy another brushed. So, if I could get everyone's opinion on wether I should get the brushed or brushless that would be great. I really want a longer flight time with this heli and if a brushless motor would give me that I will want to go to that. Also i was woundering if I could increase the battery size to one greater than 200 ma. If anyone has found a way to make the brushless upgrade work please let me know where you got it and how it's configured.

THANKS!!!

I have been flying my GCP for several weeks now. Some where around 100 flights on stock motors. I have thought about the brushless upgrade with stock tail as the double brushless has terrible reviews. But I have also read the MCPX brushed motor gives just about the same power. So I guess its all about what you want. I like the stock GCP motor, it seems to do just fine.

Now for longer flights, I have stock 2x200 mah, 1ebay 300 mah, and 1 nanotech 260 mah. The nanotech is the best choice in any situation. With the stock motor, and constant flips and rolls I am getting 5 minutes of 3D flight.
I have also seen 350mah batteries, but have not tried them yet.

Have fun with your new heli.

Smile Brushed/brushless

Thanks you for the great info!!! Tell me how the 350 ma does on the brushed motor. How long do you let the heli cool down for between flights? Also will the brushless last longer? That's kinda what I'm looking for. Longer flights would be great.

Thanks again

After flying the nanotech, It will be hard to compair anything to it.
I dont have first hand expiriance yet, but I have read the flight times are shorter witj both of the upgrade motors, but still the 3D is way more intense.

I will most likley end up with both the MCPX and brushless in the future. But for now I am just going to order more nanotech batteries.
