Tempted to either order 6 x 1300mah 6s, or get a small honda generator... (I already have 2 x 1300mah), just thinking long term. Packs. Or Gen.. hmmm

[QUOTE=cyclo;6210579]Torn between getting a Traxxas Stampede VXL 4x4 and another heli

the 4x4 stampede is sweet, I've got one. But I've got twice what I paid into it to not brake stuff. You need to run 17mm wheels or they strip and all steel axle shafts like mip. On a 2s if you have a light trigger they will hold up. But what's the fun in that?

Might as well go with another brand or 1/8th scale monster truck. The Yeti looks bad arse if that was still my go to hobby.

I think the 715s are coming pretty quick. Based on info posted in the cyclone forum, the first batch of production test blades should be in, in a week or two, then full production should follow immediately.

I will likely get another X3 instead as backup to the existing one. This will complete my heli lineup for the forseeable future. I will probably get the 4WD Stampede VXL Brushless locally on Boxing Day... The Canadian equivalent to Black Friday. Don't mind doing upgrades on it as I know it is part of the hobby. I saw a monster truck being driven all over the park I fly in (including around the 400 meter track oval) by a guy on top of a hill and I was hooked. That thing moved real fast even on tall grass. Bashing the monster truck would be a nice complement to flying helis.

Well, I missed out on the 20% deal for something I wanted so just ordered everything I needed through heli direct. Got 20% some things and 15% off the rest.

Not amazing, but, not bad. I'll take it.

Was just looking at the Helidirect Black Friday promotion and I notice it says the following:

Quote:
Promotion runs from November 27th through December 28th
Does anybody know if that's a typo? Does the Black Friday promotion really run for an entire month?
