Hyperion 550 or Nanotech 600. I believe this particular flight was with Hyperion 550.

Only because headspeed was governed to lower than hp05s' and I didn't do smackdown the entire time, or else it wouldn't last 4:30.

Right now I’m running duel stock batteries with a co5 motor at 80% flat curve ant I’m only getting 3:00 min flight time.

Why not 100% flat TC? 80% may not save power but may actually drain more because motor and ESC will not be running at best efficiency. Or perhaps your batteries are getting weak. I fly at least 3:30 with a single Nanotech 300mAh with my c05m bird running 100% TC.

I will give 100% a try ... yes I thought I was saving power by running at 80%

Here it is, a noob flying the mCPx
I always fly my mCPx BL before I fly my 450 clone just to warm my fingers and what a warm-up BL mCPx is nippier than ever now.
It has a M5 11000kV BL motor on it with a 10A Hawk-RC ESC, RKH swash, xtreme blade grips and hub, extended boom with 7mm Hawk-RC tail motor, RKH 7mm tail motor hub, KBDD main and rotor blades and xtreme canopy.

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Me_gStImWQk[/ame]

I tried my first flip before this video and the tail blew out almost 30-35 deg CCW, still managed to complete the flip, but the look of it was kinda weird, it almost looked like it flipped on it's side rather than forward since the blow out. I was so confident that it would be rock solid with the extended tail boom and the bigger tail motor, but it wasn't. I think (please give me some advice here) it depends on 2 things, I'm still using the stock batteries (ordered 300mah 35c nano-techs from HK) and I gave full pitch at 100% IU and full forward cyclic to initiate the flip and kept it during the flip to get it over with as fast as possible (My hands were shaking) , which may have put enourmous load on the motor and thus high amp draw, so that no amps were avail. for the tail at that split second. So 1. my fingers still move like I am flying on the sim and 2. the stock batteries are not adequate.

I would not be comfortable flying that close to other people, especially when they are liable to walk across in front of you. I know that it is only an mCPX but even so....

I certainly hope that you don't fly your 450 in the same place

You're right, there's plenty of people there. What I've found in my local park is that even though I don't fly near anyone, they seem to just think it's a toy and think nothing of walking near where I am, especially when I'm trying to land, or I'm oblivious to them standing behind me watching!

People were mostly behind me and away from the middle and on the sides. Theres more space there than it seems, but still, the possibility of a crash is disturbing, I admit. I've only flown one pack there and moved to another place afterwards because of the questions and people trying to touch it so on as you also pointed out.
