Those reading the thread may not realize why Jermo mentioned the throttle hold: While doing his pre-flight check, Bobby (boss5horse) realized that his "throttle hold" switch was engaging the motor, even at 0% throttle on the left stick.

His transmitter throttle channel range was -100% to +100% which was then learned by ESC at startup during the throttle calibration procedure.. The throttle cut/hold menu option in transmitter had been set to -130% and when ESC received a signal outside of it's learned range it apparently got confused.. We set throttle hold to -100% and it functioned properly.

On the Spektrum DX6 the transmitter the throttle range was -100% to +100%, instead of 0% to 100%. That being the case, with the DX6 "zero" is equivalent to 50% throttle, and may be the case with other Spektrum models also. (Mentioned this for the safety aspect so thread readers using a DX6 aren't accidentally setting their throttle hold to half throttle)
