Default Triax Mount sway

Im using a triax 2.o lite mount with a trex 800. I dont have any vibrations from the mount ....but the wire rope isolators are not stiff enough to stop a back and forth sway when I stop or go due to the weight of the mount/camera.
Im thinking about switching out the wire rope dampeners to the steel incased typw used by copterworks but I cant find them
Im also thinking if that wont work putting in two wire rope isolators and two boom supports from a rex 450 and use the isolators on the horizontal plane of the mount.

any ideas or does anyone know where I can get the copterfilms type isolators?

Cant find them in Mcmaster carr cat

There are several vibration isolation products out there and even more theories as to what is the best.

With a product such as Goldenhour listed above keep in mind that these will not work unless you know your requirements exactly. Meaning that these will only work to obtain the maximum desired results if they are installed in such as way that they are not under-loaded, side-loaded, or overloaded. That is why there are so many different option for the same product.

With products such as shocks, one can just "dial in" the correct rebound and if needed install a stiffer or light spring. These are not always the best options as they seems to suffer from sway tendencies when side loaded. However, I feel they are widely used for several reason such as those adjustability and tunability parameters mentioned above.

With solid gels sandwiched between stiffer materials keep in mind again side load. This type of isolation can more often than not just amplify any unwanted movement overall, but this will vary greatly with the weight of the product that is supported by this "gel".

There of course are several other options we have when it comes to isolation for our AP machines but the above seem to be the most widely used and tested so that is what they are mentioned specifically.

Keep in mind there are people who are getting results with a semi-rigid mount and yet others with a full rigid mount. This only adds to the confusion when someone starts to investigate and get serious about isolation for AP use.
I have found over the years that it take a combination of products working together ( and not against one another...but that is a whole nother topic) to obtain the best results.

Hope that helps..
