If it's bound to the tx, toggle the gyro switch 4-5 times rapidly from HH to rate mode, this will re-initialize the gyro (all lights flash and should settle with either red or blue on). This eliminates any movement that may be happening. Flashing blue is an initialization error btw. Let us know what happens when you try the above.

Unfortunately, toggling the switch didn't work. It seems that the software keeps defaulting to Mode 1. I need to set it to Mode 2. I tried to play with Condition 1 or 2 but that doesn't seem to do anything. Right now, I left it flashing yellow all the time instead of blue, Clearly something's not configured right.I removed all mixing from the swash and followed the recommended Gyro 0 and 1 settings on my transmitter (XP9303 with DSM2 module).

What gain values are your gyro 0 and gyro 1 at?

I've set it for the default recommended setting on the Tarot software
0: 28
1: 71

Also, it seems iffy on the monitor section where it seems to be looking at Mode 1 where my TX is Mode 2. That could be the issue.

Do you see your Tx toggling to your above settings on the monitor screen? General note, we're just using the monitor screen to troubleshoot. Also, what values for gain are programed in yout Tx?

Might be getting side tracked here but I don't think your Tx is toggling rate/HH mode on the ZYX...your ZYX might not be getting a gain signal.

The monitor screen is all messed up for me. If I move something on the right stick on the TX, it moves something on the left stick on the monitor screen. Example is if I move the aileron stick around, it's changing the values as rudder on the monitor screen. I've played with changing to different RX modes such as DSM2-1, 2-3, etc...I think the TX Mode 1 vs. 2 setting is the key for me.

Still check the above but I just checked one of mine before I went out to fly. I intentionally gave it an initialization error and Rate/HH toggling will not reinitialize my zyx if it powers up with an initialization error.

It sounds like you have your Aileron and rudder leads plugged into the wrong sockets - the leads that go between the ZYX and the Rx

No servos are plugged in. I just have the satellite on the Rudder socket of the controller.

That's very strange - sorry, don't have any other suggestions. You don't have to set whether the the TX is mode 1 or 2 as the correct information should be coming from the RX / satelite irrelevant of the Tx type.

DO you have a full Rx that you can try with ?

Yes, I'll try the full RX connection next. Thank you!

Servo's need to be plugged in. Specifically only a certain one but I don't recall which one. Plug them in and recheck, may solve your problem.

I don't think it's got anything to do with servos (and the do not need to be plugged in). This issue is related to selecting the right protocol for your Tx&sat combo. Not all combos will work with the ZYX, in particular, the Dx7s does not appear to work with a sat (it does work with a full Rx)

Controller->servo communication goes only one way. There's simply no way the ZYX could detect whether or not a servo is connected to any of the outputs.

I have a good working stock Blade 300X, swap the AR7200BX with the Dynam 3gs, the 3gs comes with the 3.02 firmware, setup it up use the default 3D soft menu with AR600 Rx and everything work, pretty stable hovering and FF, rolls and flips are OK, the tail is pretty solid but the head bounces a little. Upgrade to 4.02 after couple flights, had hard time to do the flashing, spent couple hours time searching and reading, finally get done, now is the problem solving time:

After successful firmware upgrade (did it twice), firmware version 4.02 show up in the Dynam software screen, Ch1 and Ch2 servo do not work, Ch3 and Ch4 works. From John's software and the Dynam software, all 4 channel responds in the graphic with the Tx stick movement, Ch1 and Ch2 servo do not move, unplug the servos, both work with servo tester. What should I do next?

4.02 introduced a new "feature" for quads that causes initialisation problems with some servos - particularly with Eflite servos
