Default Hover pitch knob on tx

I setup a new build got everything almost ready to fly, but i notice i did not have my hover pitch and hover throttle centered during ccpm setup. Do i actually need to use these? or will i need to go ahead and center them and resetup the links and recenter the servos.Which i really prefer to not do. Thanks.

Well..... the correct way to do a set-up with a pitch knob that is always active is to have it centered, but will probably work just fine. As long as you don't accidentially move the knob and add several degrees of pitch without knowing!

What tx are you using?

I know that on my tx the hover pitch knob was set to INH (off) by default to prevent any mistakes in set up like you described.

I went ahead and redone the setup and centered the hover pitch knob. Took about 10 minutes. Next question. Does anyone actually use this feature? I never seem to hear anyone mention hover pitch.

This tended to be more of a setting on glow engine helis, because the power they make can depend on weather factors. It was a way to make a fine adjustment--usually you had two knobs, one for pitch and one for throttle.

I don't think anyone in electric uses them. I don't see the reason to.

DX8 has the ability to assign the knob as a 'trim' value to either pitch or throttle.

I've kind of always wondered why... but I've always also only had governed electrics
