Bouncy tail..!!!WTF
Hi
Firstly many thanks with the help so far!!.. finally got my first 250 kind of flying Does anyone have any ideas as to why the tail seems to be bouncing pretty hard up and down just after the heli lifts off.. I turned the gain down to 32 and also increased up to 60+ but neither worked could vibration in the beastx cause this?? If not I'm wondering if it's mechanical... Any help would be grateful.. |

"I" Gain ( the "I" in PID) is what usually needs to be adjusted to reduce bounce. It sounds like you are changing the "P" gain. Adjust "P" gain for "wagging" or "bobbing"; adjust "I" gain for bounciness or overshooting.

When you say the tail bounces up and down do you mean the whole heli is oscillating front to back? Or is the tail actually bouncing left or right after a hard stop?

Beastx forum is probably a better place. On my larger X5 with beastx I raise the gyro gain to oscillating back and forth, drop it and then try upping Parameter D. Then, with bounce back I play with dial 3.
Are you using a governor too? If so, turn it off until you have the tail dialed in. |
