My TDV is flying superb; I am still on 12S but plan to convert to 14S 4400 Gens Ace as soon as I have modified the thrust bearings and the blade bolts

Robert Sixt won the Pöting Speedcup 2014 with his Three Dee Velocity and modified TDR (reinforced gear and Pyro 850 competition). He hit 316 kph in a 100m horizontal section. It got measured with the FAI authorized measuring system but shortened distance.

Second place is Miles Dunkel with his DiaboloS and third place is Tobi Wilhelm with his TDR.

Martin, do you have any idea what kind of headspeed Robert was turning with the tri head?

Sorry,

i dont know the headspeed. With 2 blades x713s about 2600 rpm and 16°-18° collective pitch is the optimum. I dont know if this rpm is reachable with 3 blades due to the high power needed for that. As the Pyro 750 competition is at its limit with 2 blade at 2600rpm, he modified the TDR and mounted a Pyro 850 comp.

Thanks! Yep, seems like that is the elusive spec that I don't think I've seen posted anywhere.

Those figures are classified and won't be released until they have a new set of specs that work better.

No they don't, I think they stoped producing kits around 12 months ago. A secondhand one would be your only hope at this point, I know there are some people holding unbuilt kits but they would likely want what they paid for it.

On the upside even a secondhand tdr will likely be like new, the quality is amazing and they last forever.

If Jan put you on the list you will likely get an email this year offering you a TDR 2 which will be an amazing bit of gear.
