Hey guys, this is a cool project. I support anything out of the box like this.

My first venture into something like this was when I built a dual swashed CX3 brushless boardless cp fbl coaxial early last year. I built my own frame, skids, brushless motors, inner and outer shafts, collars, dual swashes, controller, and stuffed an Sk360 into it then burned a Memms boardless gyromixer into the heart of it. I also made my own grips and blades. It turned into a precident setting one off coaxial that did insane 3d.

It caught the attention of Nasa engineers, and other engineers in germany that followed it up with a new Dss head system that enables 450 guys to build a dual swashed fbl cp 450 coaxial. I also built that. My Dss dual swashed flybarless coaxial brushless cp 450 also uses a Skookum 360 and a memms gyromixer. No tail rotor. It also runs 6 360mm blades and runs circles around my Sk720 equipped stretched 6s and 12s 450s.

I am not here to brag, that is the last thing on my mind. But just to say that you never know where this will end up!

Great work here, I want to see this hit the finish line!

LMH

Do you have a link for your project?

I just got my stepdown today, i'm waiting for the rest.

I'am also want to see what it will make with piro compensation, governor, constant voltage and i hope strong frame and tail.

I also order the V120 tail holder...

I ended up scrapping the G110 and burning my own memms gyromixer on that project. It went through several more phases before I got bored and moved on. I even designed CF cp blades for it so I could do 3d. I eventually abandoned it when I realized true invert 3d capibilty demanded a 3 servo layout for precision flying. That little thing was wicked though.

Once the mcpx came along I knew the market had shifted. Why bother building custom projects no one else could or would emulate? So I sold off most of those projects and here I am. A new mcpx convert. Now if only I could get my final parts in and get it off the ground again.

Plus, the very first moment someone comes up with a programmable gyro on the board 2 version I am in!

I still have the 450 dual swash fbl heli and am inserting it into an airwolf. Right now the head is over on the east coast with Helihaven recieving new pins so I can run fatter grips to handle the 500 size blades I want to run. There are extensive build threads on these over at Rc groups. Never did do any vids. There are already so many out there I just didn't care to add to the mass of stuff no one looks at. This body is temp sitting on 500 skids while I am fabbing up a new retract setup. I had this wired up with an SK360 and flymentor combo I fused into one unit. I custom cut the 450 carbonfibre shell. Inserted 500 size digital mg servos to handle the extra stress of the dual swash mechanics, built my own boardless brushless memms gyromixer, ect ect ect.

nice heli, with an incredible double head.

Now i am watching how to make a all in one module.
For the moment it would look like a box of 26x22x12mm

first level - Microbeast screwed with the 4x 2mm hole on the lower frame (under the lipo) face with led and button up

second level - receiver with the antena in the rear

third level - phoenix 10 with FET down to cool.

on the side the step down and the xp-3a

Why you placed the AR collar sideways? Is an entirely new project, then you could put it in front, at the elevator servo, and use a MH X-swashplate.

Have you already thought about the main motor and esc?

The main motor will be a hp08s 2s in the back (the green cylender)
The esc a phoenix 10, with the micobeast, step down and xp3 in frot (the yellow box)

Thanks a lot for the info about the murata.

I don't know the MH x-swashplate, so i let the collar in the original place.

I suppose you use a flashed XP-3A for the tail, if not the tail cannot properly works. Why not a flashed XP-12A for main?
In this way the escs have the same arming sequence.
Actually I prefer the BlHeli flashed XP-12A to the CC10.

For the rear (front for your bird) AR collar read this discussion: https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=375783

since i use a microbeast with a real receiver, i don't need a flash xp-3a and i want to use a governor so the phoenix10 seem's to be a good choice.
And i just sold out my xp-12a

I fear you have some bad surprises with the tail.
The problem is not the type of receiver, but the esc speed. The standard XP-3A is too slow to ensure a smooth tail operation.
The BlHeli tail code is specially designed to maximize the speed of response and has the Damped PWM mode, for really fast speed decrease.

And the main BlHeli code has a really good governor, perhaps best of CC10 (for example it works really good with 2 pole Hyperion inrunner, where the CC10 has heavy governor issues).

When i ordered my xp-3a, i ask for the speed version. I will see if i need to modifie the prog. I made a short test, and it's was working. (I just fly 20sec, so i have to see more)
dId you had problem with your HP08s and your CC10?

did now bheli support PPM too ?

No problem at all with HP08S and CC10, only with Hyperion inrunner.

BlHeli supports PPM signal since 3.0 version, both negative and positive input polarity

So if i have a tail probleme, i know what to do, buy again something

I just modified my frame, the front servo turn of 90°, so i can put the lipo and the modul 5mm to the rear. I will probably modify to a x swash when i will change the head for alu.

My elec will be based on lifbag 3s but with a little différence, the µbeast + receiver will be on CC10bec.

I order one 3s 180mah and one3s 240mah (stange, on hyperion website, the 240mah is 1gr lighter tahn the 180mah)

with my last calculation the bird will weight 60gr without lipo and it will be nearly possible to make it lighter.

Here the firt alu parts ready
