Setting up a Blade 400 with a Tarot FBL head and a CopterX 3X1000 FBL controller. This is my second one. I setup a Blade 450 2 weeks ago and it is flying awesome, no issues other then I had to drop the cylic gain on that heli to stop shakes.
Setup the B400 with the USB & NZ software. Went through whole setup pitch, and all cyclics moving correctly from sticks, swash stays level as heli is tilted, Piro optimization setup correctly, tail correct from sticks and correcting rotational torque. So in other words the heli appears to be setup spot on. 11 degrees of pitch and 8 of cyclic, tail gain @ 42 on a DX8. Heli programed for beginner mode with with cyclic gain down to 30 for first spool up. Spools up smooth no unusual vibes and as head gets to speed I add collective and it starts to slide to the left a bit on it's skids and as soon as I lift off it rolls hard right and lands on disk. Broken blade, bent main, bent feathering, broken lower swash ball, anti rotation, several servo arms bent or broken. You get the idea it tore itself up pretty good. It happen so fast that there was nothing I could do, and no clue it was going to happen either, spooling up smooth, tail locked in, all seemed as it should. Heli has HS65MG on cycle and stock elite on tail. Blades were Pro 3D CF. So I have a good amount of rebuilding to do, but any ideas to look for once I am ready to try it again? I am stumped?

Mine did that when I first set up my gyro. I had the aileron compensation reversed, something to look at.

+1 compensation direction is probably wrong on one or more of the axes.Preflight checklist:0) Mechanics1) controls all axes2) compensation all axes3) canopy and CGNever spool up before checking these.

Okay I am super confused on this setup... I reversed the aileron compensation and and spooled up and rolled onto the left side. Another set of blades down the drain.
So as a last resort I thought I would try reversing channel 1 and 2 servos in the FBL controller. Switched the servo leads in the Copterx 3X100 and placed servo with right side arm on Ch 2 and placed servo with left side control arm on Ch1. This is based on tail in orientation. Went through the setup again via USB software and got everything setup up correctly again. Spooled up and it flies now? I have no idea why this worked but it worked. I doubled checked my B450 and the servos are setup per the Copterx manual. Go figure??? Any yes the FBL controller to receiver wiring is correct, on both birds.
