Most of the dealers here in the DC area are out of stock or are gouging on the price. I think I may tough it out, but order from somebody like Wise. They have MUCH better prices.

Joe, have you extended the availability of power on the flight line compared to last year? I arrived early on Friday last year, but didn't quite get close enough for power. That was no problem for me at the time. I lived of my marine battery quite nicely. This year I have a 700E that is far more hungry. The alternative is to bite the bullet and get a generator.

Just to clarify... there is no ME when it comes to the field. We lease the field from a local airplane club for use during the Heli-Invasion. So unfortunately I/we do not have any control over those kinds of improvements.

As for more power or more power down the flight line... I dont think anything has been added, and quite honestly I hope they didnt, at least not without adding more circuits. I know they do have a limited amount of power for the whole field and last year we had tons of problems with all the charges blowing circuits that we used to power the sound system etc. So look at the power as a nice added convenience and not something guaranteed.... If you fly electric I would bring a generator so you dont run the chance of not being able to fly.

WOOHOOO. I have not been to heli-invasion, but I did go to the fly in at the beginning of the summer. I had a great time, met lots of cool folks, and was impressed by the giveaways. I am really looking forward to this.
