kind of steep...

The Synergy E6 caught my eye so I started looking into it... but $774 seems rather steep for a bare bones kit.
Its quite a bit more than my Furion 6 which in to me is amazing quality and flies extremely well... so the E6 must be quite something.
Does anyone have experience with the Furion 6 as well as the Synergy E6 for comparison or comments?

I have the Furion 6 and the E7, which I know is a 700 but the only real difference in the kit is the boom/belt/tt length.

I would say that while the Furion 6 is a great build, and a great quality kit, the Synergy is a much more straight forward build, higher quality carbon (very rigid no flex) and the layout of electronics is much simpler. By it's design, your options for electronics and power is completely up to the user. Pinion selection limits the Furion 6 a bit.

I have a Whiplash too. The Whiplash is a better build and electronics layout than the Furion 6, but is SOOO much heavier than the E7. One of the big things going for the E6 is the weight. My E7 AUW with my Hyperion 4200mAh packs is 10.3 pounds measured on a calibrated postal scale in the shipping department at work. The Whiplash is 2.4 pounds HEAVIER with the same packs.

What does that mean? Lighter means more flight times and faster transitions. Less mass to throw around. The E7 is lighter but just as solid and, as I am not afraid to admit, crashes better than any of my other helis.

As I said, not a true 1=1 comparison, but the bulk of the kit is the same.

The E6/7 is expensive if you are wanting it as a 600. IMO the kit is a 700 machine and one of the best on the market, it happens to include a shorter boom,belt..etc to run 600 blades.

I believe the E5 (in development) will be a better option as it is a 550-600 size design and will be lighter (compared to the E6 variant) and priced to fit that market segment.

Thanks 360, that makes perfect sense price wise. Almost in the middle between the Furion 6 and the Whiplash.

The quality must be pretty amazing if it is in fact better than the Furion cause the Furion ain't no slouch... I've had mine come down from 200 feet up and only broke the canopy and bent the boom... second time down from 150ft and only broke the landing gear.
I really enjoy flying my Furion 6, but I will definitely keep my eyes peeled for the E5, thanks for the heads up.

Does your Whiplash have the same components (motor, ESC, BEC or receiver pack, etc.) as your E7? 12.7lbs is a TANK! Even for a Whiplash. With GensAce 30c 5300's my Whiplash weighs in at 11.8lbs.

No. Not the same. I give you that. The rx pack does have some weight.

Either way the whiplash is heavier.

No question there. They're so different it's hard to put them in the same class. Almost like the Whiplash should be in a 730 class and the E7 in a 690 class. Definitely apples to oranges.
