QJ15
For some reason the QJ15 appeals to me even though I have never seen one.
I like its size for those of us who fly in smaller areas and there is just something about that nitro experience. I guess the QJ15's days have passed with electric helis and Toki engines appearing to be gone. Seems there are very few small nitro helicopters. The Trex 500 nitro conversion is interesting but not cheap. I know there is also a Walkera. This is about all I could find on YouTube: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZ7hkQJ9lqU&feature=PlayList&p=2FE9261868E CA6D4&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=65[/ame] Does anybody have a QJ15? If so, please share. -Paul

The problem is, as you go down in size, the engine power goes down faster than the size or weight.
But they are cute.

Good point Pinecone.
The Trex 500 nitro engine is twice the size and I think the Trex is smaller and lighter than the QJ.

What engine are they using on the 500 conversion?
There is a reason we mainly fly 50 nitros and not 30s.

The Trex conversion uses the OS .37 engine.
I like smaller helicopters for a number of reasons, mostly because I tend to be a "weed flyer" There are a number of empty lots close to where I live and work. A .50 size and up would be a bit big for most of these locations.

Funny, they are turning the 500 into a ".30" sized heli.
Are they still runing 450 mm or so blades?

On the Trex 500 nitro conversion, I think everything is basically stock so it uses 425mm blades.
In comparison, according to the helicopter hobbies web site, the QJ15 uses 440-470mm blades.

A .37 driving 425mm blades is interesting. Considering you normally drive 550mm blades with that size engine.
