That is good news. Really.. what is wrong with the Fusion today besides the umbrella gears? If this new vendor solves the issue we are golden!

Zero, everything else is fantastic. I think that Outrage may have also addressed their other QC issues like wrong parts in spares packages in which case it should be firmly onwards and upwards for Outrage.

Let's see how long it actually takes to see these gears arrive. I hope they are a bit speedier with their deliveries to Europe as we had to wait an age for things like the CNC gear it seemed.

Message from the Outrage CEO, Chris
For the last several months, some of our customers have been experiencing issues with tail gears. Since the workmanship of the gears was not consistent enough, some people experience these issues, while others didn't. Therefore, we have started to use a different vendor to produce new gears. As most of you know, it takes some time to make new products as well as test them to make sure they perform well. I really apologize for taking this long, but our new gears will be ready in stock within two weeks. In the mean time, we will continue working on improving them. We at Outrage are very proud of our products and their performance and we will continue to support our customers with spare parts or provide our customers with new products with better performance when the time comes. For example, we will have a new tail system for the Velocity 90 within 3 weeks. The new Velocity 90 tail is completely redesigned and addresses all the issues that are currently present on that model. Thanks again for being patient and supportive of our products, rest assured that we will work much harder to earn your trust.

Just when I'm starting to wonder if my fusion 50 build were a mistake. Great news.

So are any of these fixes worth getting preemptively, or do I just put the kit together and enjoy? Mostly sport flying. Plan on running conservative gov and tail gains just in case.

Just put it together and enjoy. Yes there is an issue with the tail but if you know what it is and how to look out for it, which you probably do (if not read the sticky) then there is not an issue. It's not as if the tail explodes on first use! You can even properly stick bang the the heli if you have followed the sticky so it really isn't the huge issue that some think it is. Just pay extra attention on pre and post flight inspections and you will be fine.

If I'm honest, I don't even pay special attention and just go out and fly. The only time I have lost my tail gears in flight was due to spooling up on long grass and not realising the tail blades were digging into the ground as I spooled up Not exactly the Fusion's fault!

well no response to the email(they said i would get a response within 24/48 hours)

at least they commented on the forums, still wondering where their marketing and support executive is?????

anyway, holding thumbs for the promised releases.
for me its not about the gears, iv never had a problem with my fusion, its about the support and the ability for a company to interact with its customers

Wouldn't the fact that they are releasing stuff soon mean they are supporting their customer base? If a company talked to everyone that has an issue they would have time to do nothing else. They made blankets statments to appease everyone they can.

Will there be new part numbers for the new gears?

I have not had a problem with the black gears, but am interesting in upgrading to the new ones when they are released.

Umm, its called customer service, and if they say they will answer emails in a certain time frame they really should try to meet that. Most companies do respond to all customer inquiries, at least in my experience.

I'm surprised that no aftermarket company like KDE or Lynx has stepped up to supply gears or other upgrades. Like a set of herringbone main gears or metal tail boom mount.
